Vintage Metal Panam Sign

For over 60 years, Panam represented the luxury and glamour of intercontinental travel. The airline's blue logo, designed by architect Edward Barnes and adopted in 1958, remains one of the most recognizable corporate logos of the 20th century. This enamel Panam sign was manufactured by Langcat Bussum in the Netherlands, known for their hand craftsmanship and exceptionally bright colors (most famously exemplified in their Coca-Cola signs). Signs produced by Langcat for Panam of this size were used on airstairs, airport vehicles and as promotional signage.
